There is also plenty happening in Stams away from the slopes. The varied cross-country tracks in Seefeld, Leutasch, Kuhtai, Mieming, Holzleiten and Niederthai are a must for all fans of cross-country skiing. Many winter hiking routes start on the doorstep of the Hotel Hirschentenne. Tobogganing is also very popular. There are many challenging or family-friendly toboggan runs in the surrounding area. If you want to escape the snow and ice completely, it is worth paying a visit to the AQUA DOME thermal spa in Längenfeld (approx. ½ hour’s drive away).
