Hiking in Stams
The landscape surrounding Stams also has a lot to offer. Take a hike under ancient trees on the nature trail through the oak forest of Stams. Or cross the river Inn on a narrow suspension bridge and hike from there to the popular and idyllic Maria Locherboden church.

The Cistercian monastery of Stams has been in existence since 1273, which means it has been in existence for over 750 years. The historical museum can be visited on a guided tour and is home to several facilities including a monastery shop.

Skigymnasium
The high school for skiing in Stams is regarded as an Austrian training centre for young winter sports athletes. The school has already produced several world and Olympic champions. The impressive Brunnental Ski jump characterises the town.
